A library is a whole song collection. Books and tags organize the songs inside the library.
Each library has its own books, songs, and set lists, separate from other libraries. The current library is highlighted in the Libraries drawer. Each row shows when the library was created. The initial library is Permanent; all others can be deleted. From: appears when the library was imported from another SongFire library, for easier management of libraries shared across devices.
The action buttons along the bottom provide library creation and backup options.
A tap, a long press, and the menu icon on the row all open the same choices:
The current book is highlighted in the Books drawer. All Songs and Unbound Songs are permanent pseudo-books. Unbound means the song is not currently in any book.
A song can sit in more than one book without being duplicated. There's just one copy of the song, so changing it anywhere changes it everywhere.
A tag is a label on a song, such as Hymns or Christmas. A song can have many tags. A book is a tag you have promoted so it opens as its own song list.
Promoting and demoting tags is powerful, because it provides a way to rapidly bind or unbind songs into books without any work.
Promoting a tag to a book provides several benefits. For example, if you have a number of songs tagged as Christmas and then promote that tag:
The action buttons along the bottom provide book & tag management options.
Tap the checkbox to Promote a tag to a book, or to Demote a book to a tag.
A long press selects a book as current and opens its popup actions menu. A tap selects the book as current and opens its songs.
